Dear Fellow Citizens of Sherman, TX,

I want to begin by thanking you for attending today. It is humbling that so many have turned up to support me in this endeavor. I want to thank my family, my wife, Laura, our two sons, Thomas and Chris and my parents, Tom and Ernie for their love and support.

As many of you know, our city is at a crossroad, both literally and figuratively. Our strategic location at the intersection of US 75 and US 82 has opened doors to tremendous growth opportunities, especially with major investments from companies like Texas Instruments and GlobalWafers. While this growth is exciting, it also brings significant challenges that we must address together.

As a candidate for Sherman City Council, I am committed to guiding our city through these transformative times. Here’s how I plan to serve our community:

• Infrastructure for Today and Tomorrow: As an engineer, I bring the expertise needed to ensure our infrastructure is robust and ready for the inevitable growth the future will bring. I will advocate for smart investments in our roads, utilities, and public services that will not only support our current needs but also sustain our future growth. Maintaining and enhancing our infrastructure is crucial to preserving our quality of life and fostering economic development.
• Preserving Our Community: Sherman is known for its strong sense of community, and it is vital we maintain this as we grow. Many of you have shared concerns about the rise in multifamily developments and the increasing cost of housing. As a father of two and fellow community member, I share your concerns. We must find balanced solutions that allow our children to afford to live in the community they love, while also managing growth in a way that preserves our unique character. I promise to thoroughly research and consider all options to ensure we maintain the charm and cohesion that makes Sherman special.
• Collaborating for Regional Success: As the largest community in Grayson County, Sherman must lead by example. I have established strong relationships with regional leaders. Past accomplishments are the best predictor of future success. During my tenure at the county, I was able to work with our regional leaders to provide the funding necessary for the reconstruction of US 75 that is almost complete. By working collaboratively with our regional partners, we can continue to enhance the quality of life for everyone in our area.

To achieve these goals, I need your support. Your involvement is crucial, whether through a campaign donation, an endorsement, placing a sign in your yard, or most importantly, casting your vote for me. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps make a difference.
